20 Gauge Thick Steel Spine

Our foam cores are strengthened across the width with 20 gauges thick galvanized C-channels to prevent sagging or caving under heavy weight loads.

High Density Tapered Foam Cores

A tapered cover allows for water run-off and protects the cover from rain damage. We make our cover with a high R-value for greater insulation.

• Our 1.5 lb foam density cover with a 3”x 2” taper has an R-Value of R-14.
• Our 1.5 lb foam density cover with a 4”x2” taper has a R-Value of R-15.
• Our 2.0 lb foam density cover with a 4”x2” taper had a R-Value of R-17.
• Our 2.0lb foam density Walk-on Cover with a 5”x4” taper has a R-Value of R-21.

Super-Thick Moisture Core Barrier

Our Cores are tightly wrapped with a 4-mil thick polyethylene to lock out moisture. Our extra wide 1/4" seams are heat-sealed to resist splitting.

Heat Seal Pouches

Specialty Spa Covers uses heat seal pouches at the hinge to keep the steam from escaping. We use a full 3" pouch.

Extended Perimeter Skirting

Designed to hold in heat and stop water evaporation, while protected the spa's acrylic edge. Standard length measures 2 1/2", but we can customize.

Strong, Padded Handles

Comfortable to hold and easy to lift. Reinforced at key stress points so Handles won't rip out.

Meets the ASTM Standard F-1346

All covers meet the ASTM Standards as a manual safety cover. The ASTM standard reads as follows: This test shall be conducted to demonstrate that the cover is capable of supporting a weight of 275 lbs. (composed of one 225 lb. weight and one 50 lb. weight) for a spa with a width or diameter equal to or less than 8' distributed over 1 ft. each, all of which are within a 3' radius without the test objects causing damage which would allow any of the test objects to pass through the cover.
